Want to take Kotak Life Insurance policy in Pune

It's sad that a person named Ashish called me just now and informed me that he wants to understand one product of Kotak Life Insurance Ltd, but he was unable to find any advsior, since nobody has registered from Kotak Life Insurance in Pune. It is not for the first time that such thing has happened, i daily get such calls/emails from one city or the another. Sometimes, people have given the appointment, but that concerned insurance professional has not contacted. Cancer! Is it unBEATABLE?

Hi,

I am emotional and sad today as i have got a bad news that one of my cousin has been diagnosed of having stomach cancer. He is only 25 years old and was just going to join his first job. Life is so uncertain. We don't know whether he will survive or not. Thinking about his parents, i feel very sad. They will loose their only son, if his cancer is not treated. The cost of treatment is going to be in several lacs. I don't know how his father working as simple employee in Allahabad Bank will be able to manage the expenses. This is the time when we all realize the importance of insurance.

Sometimes back, ICICI Prudential launched a product for cancer insurance for the first time in India. This blog is for insurance industry. But, how many Indians really care about having their life insured is a big question.

In this post i will like to name Sean Swarner, who is the first cancer survivor to climb Mount Everest, and who continues to go on adventures that inspire and raise cancer awareness all over the world. Sean is close to becoming only the fifth person in history and the first cancer survivor to accomplish the "Adventure Grand Slam," which consists not only of climbing to the peak of the tallest mountain on each of the earth's seven continents but also trekking to both the North and South Poles (all of this with one working lung). On every peak, he plants a flag bearing the following words: "Dedicated to all those affected by cancer in this small world!! Keep climbing!

How this pension plan works?

Ans - Like any other pension plan, this plan has two phases

1 . Accumulation Phase - you pay regular premium towards the policy and accumulate savings for your retirement.

2. Annuity Phase/Pension Phase - you start receiving pension from the accumulated amount, as per your chosen pension option.

During Accumulation Phase, money can be invested in two ways -

1 Lifestyle based Portfolio Strategy - When the policy starts, your investment will be distributed between two funds, Pension Flexi Growth and Pension Protector, based on your age. As you move from one age band to another, your fund will be re-distributed as per your age.

2. Fixed portfolio Strategy - Invest as per your choice in equity and debt by selecting out of 8 different funds. Funds details are as below

Automatic Transfer Strategy - You can invest your premium in the money market fund ( Pension Preserver) and transfer a chosen amount every month into any one of the following funds: pension Multiplier/ pension Flexi Growth/ Pension R.I.C.H. This is free of charge and available only if you select portfolio strategy.

Switches - You have the option to switch between the fund options as and when you choose depending on your financial properties and investment decision. Upto 4 switches are free every year. Minimum switch amount is Rs 2,000. During the first 3 policy years, switches will not be allowed if the due premiums have not been paid.

Flexible Retirement age - You can start receiving pension anytime you reach 50 years of age. However, in view of market conditions or due to any other reason you can defer this date any number of times till the age of 80 years.

Cover Continuance Option - This option ensures that your policy continues in case you are unable to pay premiums, any time after payment of the first three years premium.

5 Different Pension Options - (a) Life Annuity, (b) Life Annuity with return of purchase price, (c) Life Annuity Guaranteed for 5/10/15 years & life thereafter, (d) Joint Life, Last Survivor without return of purchase price, (e), Joint Life, Last Survivor with return of purchase price.

Choose your pension provider - At the time of vesting, this option enables you to buy a pension from any other insurance company. You have the option to take the best offer in the market.

Commutation of pension fund - You have the option the receive a lump-sum amount upto 1/3rd of the total fund value, tax free, on the vesting date.

Right now, it is not prudent to go for print media as the number of registrations is not sufficient. If, we give advertisement in the local newspaper in Ahmedabad, then there will be some visitors who are unable to find anyone in certain location for certain life or general insurance company. Our Story!

Its cool. It all started a year back. I was sure that i wanted to do some business, that too into the service sector. I was trying to figure out some gap in the market. Since i have experience of working in the life insurance industry for more than 5 years, so i wanted to do something in this sector only. One fine day, i decided that i will leave my job and become a life insurance advisor. I thought that i have done business of more than 4 crorre premium collection and sold more than 1000 policies, so why don't i work on my own as that will fetch a very good amount of incentive and more significantly i will have sufficient time to devote for my business plan.I was clear that i want to become advisor of ICICI Prudential. But, i was confused about whom should i approach. I wanted my manager to be flexible and someone who will be on my wavelength. Since i have worked in tha bancaassurance channel in Navsari and Surat, i knew nobody in the agency or tide channel of ICICI Prudential. So i had to finally depend on one of my friend from insurance sector who sent one Agency Manager to my home and i was obliged to select him. I had no other option. So i selcted him as my manager.

That was the moment when the idea struck me that if i was able to visit some website where profiles of different managers were displayed i could have selected one of my choice. From that time i started looking for such website on the net. I searched for such website on net for almost 4 months, surfing 4-5 hours everyday. Later, ehen i found no such website anywhere in the world, i decided to make a website which will display profile of managers and advisor from the life insurance sector. I created www.alivewire.in with the help of yahoo service and started working on this concept from home, along with my job.

I also started discussing about this concept with my collegues. Vinay Lade who is my partner showed interest in this concept and he was the main person with whom i was sharing my ideas and details . I daily used to say something or the other about this idea to my wife. 3-4 months passed like this. Nothing happened, as this was a new concept and starting this business with the job was impossible.

My wife was getting bored with my everyday routine discussion. She cajoled me to take a plunge. Me and Vinay finally left our job and took this biggest risk of our life. We are convinced that we will surely bring a revolution in the insurance industry. New generation want ths best deal, everytime they spend money. So we are here to serve the insurance industry in a very unique way through our website www.apnaadvisor.com. This website will act as catalyst and the reaction will be very positive while being a platform where buyers and sellers will come together. Why ApnaAdvisor was launched?
It was launched to provide common platform to buyers and sellers of insurance in India.

What we do?
We provide unique services like
- Sellers can register here and their profile will be displayed to enable them to reach maximum number of customers.
- Buyers can select their own advisor from the extensive list and request for free quotes too.
We also provide an opportunity to become advisor of particular sales manager whose profile one likes.

100 Days!

Yesterday, ApnaAdvisor.com completed 100 days. We also reached one milestone, as Bhargav Thakkar became the first person to get an appointment of a client who wish to buy the pension plan of Max New York Life Insurance Co Ltd. So our basic purpose of launching this website is getting shape. At least we have made a start.

Last week was very eventful as we also got request from 5 people who want to become Advisor. We have passed this FREE LEADS that have been generated online to some of the managers who have approached us, after we sent the SMS about these leads.

There has been more than 75 people who have already registered on ApnaAdvisor.com, all from Ahmedabad.

Now we will spread to new locations.
